A native of West Virginia, Dr. Stephen Roush spent his childhood competing in all sports:  baseball, AAU basketball, track and field and, his real love, football. He achieved his athletic goal of playing football for Marshall University (Huntington, WV). 

 

Dr. Roush has a relentless work ethic, borne from both adversity and determination. He is fascinated with how the human body works – and how to help the body work better.

 

Dr. Roush obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology with a minor in Strength and Conditioning from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. 

 
After internships under several chiropractors, Dr. Roush found a love for promoting wellness and reducing pain through holistic solutions. 

 

Dr. Roush graduated with a doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida in 2018. 

 

During his clinical experience, he worked closely with the athletic department at Bethune Cookman University to increase performance and recovery and teach how to prevent injuries. He also credits several mentors who gave him extensive knowledge and insight which helped propel his career. He also took part in clubs and intramural sports

 

Dr. Roush holds post-education diagnosis certifications in

  • Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
  • Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA)
  • Y-Balance Testing for athletes.

 He is full body Active Release Techniques (ART) certified. Additionally, Dr. Roush has training in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS). 

 

He has also earned several chiropractic certifications including

  • Activator Techniques
  • Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner
  • Cox Flexion distraction 
  • Orthospinolgy 
  • Grostic-Upper Cervical  

Dr. Roush continues to pursue his post-education at the Carrick Institute, studying to become a Rehab Specialist and a Diplomate in Functional Neurology. 

 

After three years of practicing in Colorado Springs, Dr. Roush moved closer to home. He now resides in Cranberry Township and is excited to serve the greater Pittsburgh area with a new and emerging healthcare and helping his patients back in the activities they love. He is a fan of living healthy, eating nutritious food, and getting back to nature.
